Our Pop-Up Pubs
There will be a Pop up Pub in the Wolfords Village Hall from 6pm on Friday 20th December. All the usual drinks will be available plus mulled wine and mince pies. Come and join us for a festive and fun evening!
Our successful Pop-ups Pubs began in 2016 when locals got together to raise money to support our Campaign to Save the Fox and Hounds.
Events have been lots of fun with great community spirit and have included summer get-togethers on the Green with a barbecue and drinks from our ‘mobile’ bar; a Hog roast; a Christmas supper; a roast Sunday lunch and a St George’s Day supper. The evenings are run by volunteers and have been very well attended, raising more than £13,000. We will have more in the future and thank everyone for their support.
***Thanks to everyone who joined us on July 26th on the Great Wolford Green for our 50th Pop-up Pub on a beautiful summer evening (see photo, right). ***
Our new MP, Dr Manuela Perteghella, Councillor George Cowcher, Deputy Leader of Stratford District Council and Sarah Whalley-Hoggins, our local councillor were very impressed by the community spirit you demonstrated so enthusiastically. We were delighted to see so many people from Great Wolford, as well as Little Wolford, Todenham and Barton which showed the pub's importance to all the local villages. Thank you so much for your continued and unwavering support.
The great news is that we raised over £1,000 for the Campaign which will go towards any future professional advice fees.
